ABOUT GREENWOODS PROVIDERS

Since its inception in 1992, Greenwoods has established a cooperative relationship with 13 agencies and more than 80 independent, highly qualified certified practitioners in Litchfield County.

These professionals include:

  • Clinical psychologists
  • Psychiatrists
  • Clinical social workers
  • Nurse practitioners
  • Marriage and family therapists
  • Drug and alcohol counselors
  • Licensed professional counselors
  • Psychoanalysts
  • Attorneys
  • Community-based, mental-health, health-care and other support services

All are experienced and certified in their professions. We know them all personally and each supports our mission. Each practitioner has worked in the Litchfield County community for many years. There is no financial incentive for these providers to participate in Greenwoods programs.

Greenwoods provides its individual and family referral service free of charge. Doctors, therapists and other professionals in our network do charge fees for their services. Once you have been referred to a practitioner, Greenwoods will help determine your payment alternatives for his or her services. These professionals will accept your insurance and/or reduce their rates, if necessary. Greenwoods can also provide financial assistance from our subsidy fund.

There are no strings attached. You make your own appointments and are under no obligation to Greenwoods or the providers. All clients are free to make their own choices and may see one or all of the professionals suggested. Our goal is to offer the best possible choice of the best possible providers.

Once the referrals are made, providers see clients and patients in their offices. Greenwoods makes every effort to refer you to professionals whose offices are located near your home or workplace.
